Recognizes human Met5- and Leu5- Enkephalin in both RIA and Immunohistochemistry assays, displaying a 40% cross-reactivity with C-terminal-extended Met-enkephalin hexapeptides and 7% cross-reactivity with the extended heptapeptide. In IHC, recognizes all well-recognized enkephalin immunoreactive sites but does not bind to areas known to contain beta-endorphin or dynorphin.
