Specificity
Recognizes rat Met5-and Leu5-enkephalin. Displays about 40% cross-reactivity with C-terminal extended Met-enkephalin hexapeptides and 7% cross-reactivity with the extended heptapeptide (-Arg-Phe-OH) but does not recognize other endogenous peptides. By IHC no cross-reactivity to beta-endorphin or dynorphin. Species cross-reactivity: guinea pig, hamster and rabbit.

Usage
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:200. Cryostat sections of rat and guinea pig brain stems. Immunocytochemistry: 1:150 primary cultures of rat striatal and hippocampal neurons using Cy2 or Cy3 conjugated secondary antibody for detection.
Presentation
Diluted serum in PBS, 0.1% Thimerosal.
Storage
Short term: store at 4°C. Long term: store at -20°C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
