Immunohistochemistry Services

Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

TCR Screening Services

Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Immunogen
GST-Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) fusion protein corresponding to the full length amino acid sequence (246aa) derived from the jellyfish Aequorea victoria.
Specificity
Recognizes wild type, recombinant and enhanced forms of GFP (eGFP). Assayed by immunofluorescence microscopy on prokaryotic (E. coli) and eukaryotic (CHO cells) expression systems and was shown to detect GFP containing inserts. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-goat serum, anti-biotin and purified and partially purified Green Fluorescent Protein (Aequorea victoria) Serum. No reaction was observed against human, mouse and rat serum proteins.
Usage
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and IHC. Western Blot: 1:2000-1:10000. Detects a 42kD band. ELISA: 1:140000. Immunohistochemistry: 1:1000-1:5000. The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.
Presentation
PBS, pH 7.2, 10mg/ml BSA (IgG and protease free), 0.01% sodium azide.

Anti-GFP Chemiluminescent Kit for Western blot. Known amounts of recombinant GFP protein ( were spiked into a HeLa cell-derived lysates (p/n W09-000-364) and separated by SDS-PAGE using a 4-20% gradient gel. Proteins were transferred onto a nitrocellulose membrane for 1 h at 100 mV. The membrane was blocked with TTBS (p/n MB-013) supplemented with 1% BSA (p/n BSA-50) for 1 h at 4? prior to probing the blot with the anti-GFP monoclonal antibody Anti-GFP (MOUSE) Monoclonal Antibody - 600-301-215 diluted 1:1000 for 40 min. Detection of the primary antibody by the HRP-conjugated anti-Mouse IgG (p/n LS-C60772) was performed at a dilution of 1:20000 for 1h at 4?. FemtoMax Super Sensitive Chemiluminescent Luminol Substrate was used for signal detection (see below).
