Specificity and Use
IL1A / IL-1 Alpha antibody was raised against recombinant human IL-1a.
Recognizes natural and recombinant human IL-1a.
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry (frozen) and ELISA as a capture antibody. ELISA: 1-5 ug/ml in coating buffer immediately prior to use, and coat each well with 100ul. Further dilutions may be made in medium or buffered solution with carrier protein, such as PBS with 0.1-1% BSA.

IL1A / IL-1 Alpha is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. This cytokine is a pleiotropic cytokine involved in various immune responses, inflammatory processes, and hematopoiesis. This cytokine is produced by monocytes and macrophages as a proprotein, which is proteolytically processed and released in response to cell injury, and thus induces apoptosis. This gene and eight other interleukin 1 family genes form a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 2.
