Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

Tuberin / TSC2 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide from human TSC2.

Modified peptide
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B1654 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B1654 was determined to be 1:50.

Packaging

Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide, 50% glycerol.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only.

About Tuberin / TSC2

P49815 NM_000548 NP_000539.2

TSC2 Antibody, LAM Antibody, Tuberous sclerosis 2 protein Antibody, TSC4 Antibody, Tuberin Antibody, Tuberous sclerosis 2 Antibody

Tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) is an autosomal dominant tumor syndrome caused by mutations in either of the TSC1 or TSC2 tumor suppressor genes. The products of these genes form a protein complex that indirectly decreases the signaling of the mammalian Target of Rapamycin (TOR), an evolutionarily conserved serine/threonine kinase that regulates cell growth and cell cycle through its ability to integrate signals from nutrient levels and growth factors.
