Specificity and Use
SPP1 / Osteopontin antibody was raised against peptide: C-KSKKFRRPDIQYPD. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Orangutan, Gibbon, Monkey (100%); Marmoset (93%).
Recognizes the full length osteopontin protein (which runs at 66kD on westerns), as well as the C-terminal fragments of both thrombin and MMP-cleaved OPN. This antibody recognizes the 32kD MMP-cleaved C-fragment, but not the 40kD N-terminal fragment. Species cross-reactivity: Cross-reacts with Human, canine and porcine.
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
