Specificity and Use
PRKCB / PKC-Beta antibody was raised against protein kinase C beta 2. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Mouse, Rat, Hamster, Elephant, Panda, Bovine, Dog, Bat, Rabbit, Horse, Opossum (100%); Platypus (90%); Chicken (80%).
Recognizes the beta 2 isoform of protein kinase C (PKC). PKC-beta is a 671 amino acid intracellular protein with a single domain, a domain, 2 and a single domain. Recognizes the sequence SEFLKPEVKS at the C terminus of PKC beta 2.
