Histone H3 antibody was raised against synthetic methyl-Arg2 peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Arg2 of human histone H3 (KLH).
Recognizes human histone H3 only when methylated at Arg2 at 17kD. Does not cross-react with other histone members. Note: Adherence to the attached protocol is extremely important.
Western Blot: 1:1000. Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:50. Immunocytochemistry (ABC) 1:50.

About Histone H3
Histone H3 is one of the five main histone proteins involved in the structure of chromatin in eukaryotic cells. Featuring a main globular domain and a long N-terminal tail, H3 is involved with the structure of the nucleosomes of the 'beads on a string' structure. Histone proteins are highly post-translationally modified however Histone H3 is the most extensively modified of the five histones.
