Histone H2B antibody was raised against amino acids 1-15 (MPDPAKSAPAPKKGS) of human Histone H2B were used as the immunogen. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Mouse, Rat, Dog, Bat, Hamster, Elephant, Panda, Horse, Rabbit, Pig, Platypus, Xenopus (100%); Orangutan, Bovine, Chicken, Zebrafish (93%).
In PBMC, a 15 kD band is observed.

About Histone H2B
Histone H2B is one of the 5 main histone proteins involved in the structure of chromatin in eukaryotic cells. Featuring a main globular domain and a long N terminal tail H2B is involved with the structure of the nucleosomes of the 'beads on a string' structure.
