Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Details

Human H2AFX / H2AX
Mouse
Human, Monkey, Bovine, Dog, Rabbit (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
IgG1 Monoclonal
Protein G purified

Applications

ICC (2 µg/ml), Immunofluorescence, Western blot, Immunoprecipitation

Specificity and Use

H2AFX / H2AX antibody was raised against synthetic peptide (C-KATQA[pS]QEY) corresponding to aa134-142 of human histone H2A. X. (KLH). The immunizing sequence has 8 identical amino acids in yeast and mouse.
pSer139
Recognizes human Histone H2A. X phosphorylated at Ser139, Mr 15kD. A broad species cross-reactivity is expected based on conservation of sequence homology.
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, Chromatin Immunoprecipitation and Immunocytochemistry. Proteins were visualized using a IgG (HRP) GtxMo and a chemiluminescence detection system. Immunocytochemistry: 2 ug/ml detects phosphorylated histone H2A. X (Ser139) in HeLa cells treated with 0.5 uM staurosporine for 4-6 hours. Positive control: UV-treated 293 cell extracts, UV-treated HeLa cell extracts, breast cancer tissue.

Packaging

PBS, pH 7.6, 0.07% sodium azide, 30% glycerol.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

About H2AFX / H2AX

P16104 NM_002105 NP_002096.1

H2AFX Antibody, H2AX Antibody, Histone H2A.x Antibody, H2A.X Antibody, H2A histone family, member X Antibody, H2AX histone Antibody

Variant histone H2A which replaces conventional H2A in a subset of nucleosomes. Nucleosomes wrap and compact DNA into chromatin, limiting DNA accessibility to the cellular machineries which require DNA as a template. Histones thereby play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication and chromosomal stability. DNA accessibility is regulated via a complex set of post-translational modifications of histones, also called histone code, and nucleosome remodeling.
