Specificity and Use
DRD2 / Dopamine Receptor D2 antibody was raised against d2s (Ac-240-247-Cys 247) covalently attached onto a carrier protein.
Recognizes D2S Dopamine receptor (Ac-240-247). Does not react to D2L Dopamine receptor (243-254) cyclized and D2 Dopamine receptor (Cys 271-272-282). Highly specific for this peptide sequence and are suitable for immunocytochemical detection of D2S dopamine receptor.
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry.
DRD2 / Dopamine Receptor D2 is the D2 subtype of the dopamine receptor. This G-protein coupled receptor inhibits adenylyl cyclase activity. A missense mutation in this gene causes myoclonus dystonia; other mutations have been associated with schizophrenia. Alternative splicing of this gene results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms. A third variant has been described, but it has not been determined whether this form is normal or due to aberrant splicing.
