  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

Collagen IV antibody was raised against collagen Type IV extracted and purified from mouse tumor tissues.
Recognizes mouse Collagen Type IV. Cross-reactivity (RIA): mouse Collagen Types I, III; human Collagen Type IV, V; mouse Fibronectin; mouse Laminin: < 0.1%.
Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, and Immunohistochemistry. Immunohistochemistry: 1:500 on fixed, paraffin embedded skin or liver mouse tissues. Immunofluorescence: 1:80 on frozen mouse skin and liver using fluorescein-labeled anti-rabbit IgG. Note: Antibody is suitable for staining of extra and intracellular components in light microscopy. ELISA: 1:200.

No preservative added.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

About Collagen IV

Type IV Collagen (ColIV or Col4) is a type of collagen found primarily in the basal lamina. The collagen IV C4 domain at the C-terminus is not removed in post-translational processing, and the fibers link head-to-head, rather than in parallel. Also, collagen IV lacks the regular glycine in every third residue necessary for the tight, collagen helix. This makes the overall arrangement more sloppy with kinks. These two features cause the collagen to form in a sheet, the form of the basal lamina.
