CD9 antibody was raised against pre-B cell line NALM-6.
Recognizes an epitope on second extracellular domain (EC2) of CD9 antigen, a 24 kD single transmembrane polypeptide expressed on platelets, monocytes, pre-B lymphocytes, granulocytes and activated T lymphocytes.
The reagent is designed for Flow Cytometry analysis of human blood cells using 20 ul reagent / 100 ul of whole blood or 106 cells in a suspension. The content of a vial (2 ml) is sufficient for 100 tests.

CD9 is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, also known as the tetraspanin family. Tetraspanins are cell surface glycoproteins with four transmembrane domains that form multimeric complexes with other cell surface proteins. The encoded protein functions in many cellular processes including differentiation, adhesion, and signal transduction, and expression of this gene plays a critical role in the suppression of cancer cell motility and metastasis.
