Specificity
Expressed in plasma cells in rheumatoid synovium (PubMed:11460154). Over-expressed in primary breast cancer and metastatic breast cancer cells (PubMed:25280941). Isoform 1 and isoform 2 are expressed at higher level in proliferating as compared to confluent quiescent endothelial cells (PubMed:19416856). .

Usage
WB: The detection limit for XBP1 is approximately 0.1 ng/lane under reducing conditions. IHC: Antigen retrieval by boiling the paraffin sections in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH6.0, for 20 minutes is required for the staining of formalin/paraffin sections.
Presentation
Lyophilized from 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 5mg BSA, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.05mg sodium azide.
Reconstitution
Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500µg/ml.
Storage
At -20°C for 1 year. After reconstitution, at 4°C for 1 month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for a longer time. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
