Histone antibody was raised against designed and synthetic peptide containing H3R2a.
The antibody is not only able to bind to H3R2a, but also distinguish two forms (Asymmetric and Symmetric) of H3R2. It specifically detected protein derived from cell lysates in both ELISA and WB.
The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested. This antibody is shipped with antibody diluent; we recommend the addition of 100 ul of diluent to the 50 ug of lyophilized antibody.
Lyophilized from PBS, No preservatives added
Dilution buffer provided for reconstitution.
Short term: 4°C. Long term: Store at -20°C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only.
Histones are highly alkaline proteins found in eukaryotic cell nuclei that package and order the DNA into structural units called nucleosomes. They are the chief protein components of chromatin, acting as spools around which DNA winds, and play a role in gene regulation. Without histones, the unwound DNA in chromosomes would be very long (a length to width ratio of more than 10 million to 1 in human DNA).
