This affinity purified antibody was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to an internal region of human Wnt1 protein.
Specificity
This antibody reacts with human and mouse Wnt1 protein. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with Wnt1 from mouse, human, rat, bovine, dog, macaque, and opossum based on a 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Partial cross-reactivity is expected against chicken Wnt1 based on a 91% sequence homology. Cross-reactivity with Wnt1 from other sources has not been determined.

Usage
This affinity purified antibody has been tested for use in ELISA and western blotting. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band approximately ~41 kD in size corresponding to Wnt1 by western blotting in the appropriate cell lysate or extract. This antibody is capable of detecting endogenous Wnt1.
