  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

TRIM28 / KAP1 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide C-KQFNKLTEDKADVQ from an internal region of human TRIM28 / KAP-1 (NP_005753.1). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Chimpanzee, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Mouse, Rat, Ferret, Bovine, Bat, Elephant, Panda, Horse, Rabbit, Guinea pig (100%); Turkey, Chicken, Lizard (86%).
Human TRIM28 / KAP-1
Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:2000. Western blot: Approx 100kD band observed in nuclear lysates of cell lines HeLa, Jurkat and K562 (calculated MW of 88.5kD according to NP_005753.1). The observed molecular weight corresponds to earlier findings with different antibodies from other commercial sources. Recommended concentration: 1-3 ug/ml.

Tris saline, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide

Nuclear corepressor for KRAB domain-containing zinc finger proteins (KRAB-ZFPs). Mediates gene silencing by recruiting CHD3, a subunit of the nucleosome remodeling and deacetylation (NuRD) complex, and SETDB1 (which specifically methylates histone H3 at 'Lys-9' (H3K9me)) to the promoter regions of KRAB target genes.

Western blot

Western blot
TRIM28 antibody (1 ug/ml) staining HeLa nuclear lysate (35 ug protein in RIPA buffer). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.
