  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

TJP2 / ZO2 / ZO-2 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide derived from the C-terminal region of human or canine ZO-2.
Recognizes the ~130-160kD human ZO-2 protein, isoforms A or C. A band of unknown origin lower than 75kD may be observed in certain lysates.
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B2185 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B2185 was determined to be 5-10 ug/ml. Immunofluorescence: 2.5 ug/ml. Cells need to be fixed with ice-cold ethanol for 30 minutes on ice prior to assays. Positive control: Western Blot: CaCO2 human colorectal adenocarcinoma, MDCK II canine kidney, KNRK rat kidney, and TMCK-1 mouse kidney cell lysates.

PBS, pH 7.4, 0.09% sodium azide.
Short term: 4º C, Long term: aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, and store at -20º C.

TJP2 / ZO2 / ZO-2 is a zonula occluden that is a member of the membrane-associated guanylate kinase homolog family. The encoded protein functions as a component of the tight junction barrier in epithelial and endothelial cells and is necessary for proper assembly of tight junctions. Mutations in this gene have been identified in patients with hypercholanemia, and genomic duplication of a 270 kb region including this gene causes autosomal dominant deafness-51.

Anti-TJP2 / ZO-2 antibody IHC of human placenta, intermediate trophoblasts. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody LS-B2185 concentration 10 ug/ml.
