About TGFB4 / LEFTY2
TGFB4 / LEFTY2 is a member of the TGF-beta family of proteins. The encoded protein is secreted and plays a role in left-right asymmetry determination of organ systems during development. The protein may also play a role in endometrial bleeding. Mutations in this gene have been associated with left-right axis malformations, particularly in the heart and lungs. Some types of infertility have been associated with dysregulated expression of this gene in the endometrium. O00292 NM_003240 NP_003231.2

TGFB4 / LEFTY2 antibody was raised against recombinant human LEFTY2.
Specificity
A BALB/c mouse was immunized with a recombinant form of 6X HIS tagged human LEFTY. Hybridoma: Produced by the fusion between BALB/c mouse splenocytes and mouse Sp2/0 myeloma cells using conventional hybridoma technology.
Usage
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B2540 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B2540 was determined to be 10 ug/ml.
