Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Product Description

Sialoadhesin antibody LS-C58089 is an FITC-conjugated mouse monoclonal antibody to human Sialoadhesin (SIGLEC1 / CD169). Validated for Flow, IHC and IP.
About SIGLEC1 / CD169 / Sialoadhesin
Acts as an endocytic receptor mediating clathrin dependent endocytosis. Macrophage-restricted adhesion molecule that mediates sialic-acid dependent binding to lymphocytes, including granulocytes, monocytes, natural killer cells, B-cells and CD8 T-cells. Preferentially binds to alpha-2,3-linked sialic acid (By similarity). Binds to SPN/CD43 on T-cells (By similarity). May play a role in hemopoiesis. Q9BZZ2 NM_023068 NP_075556.1

Human Rhinovirus (HRV14) treated monocyte-derived dendritic cells.
Recognizes human CD169, otherwise known as Sialoadhesin (Sn), a type I transmembrane glycoprotein and prototypic member of the Siglec (sialic acid binding Ig-like lectin) family, designated Siglec-1. CD169 is a macrophage-restricted interaction molecule which binds to sialylated ligands on hematopoietic cells, including neutrophils, NK cells, monocytes, a subset of CD8+ T cells and B cells, through recognition of sialic acid in the alpha-2,3- glycosidic linkage. CD169 is highly expressed by dendritic cells and on stromal macrophages in the spleen, bone marrow and lymph nodes and to a lesser extent in liver, lungs and gut, and studies have shown high expression of CD169 on macrophages in the inflammatory conditions rheumatoid arthritis and atherosclerosis. Completely inhibits erythrocyte rosetting around Sn+ transductants.
The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested. Flow Cytometry: Use 10 ul of the suggested working dilution to label 1x10^6 cells in 100 ul. Method sheets are available on request.
