Specificity and Use
PAK1 / PAK2 antibody was raised against kLH-conjugated, synthetic phospho-peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Ser199/204 of human PAK1.
Recognizes Ser199/204 phosphorylated PAK1 or Ser192/197 phosphorylated PAK2. It may also detect Ser200/205 phosphorylated PAK3, however it does not cross-react with phosphorylated PAK4. The p21-activated kinase (PAK) family of serine/threonine kinases is engaged in multiple cellular processes, including cytoskeletal reorganization, MAPK signaling, apoptotic signaling, control of phagocyte NADPH oxidase and growth factor-induced neurite outgrowth. Species cross-reactivity: Human and guinea pig, predicted to react with rat and mouse due to 100% sequence homology.
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Western Blot: 1:1000. Incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4?C with gentle shaking, overnight.
