NTRK1 / TrkA antibody was raised against synthetic peptide from the cytoplasmic domain of mouse TrkA, TrkB, TrkC (High affinity nerve growth factor receptor, NTRK1, p140-TrkA, Trk-A) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein. The antigen is homologous in rat, human and zebrafish.
Specific for TrkA.
IHC: Antigen retrieval is essential for use on paraffin sections.

High affinity receptor for NGF which is its primary ligand, it can also bind and be activated by NTF3/neurotrophin-3. However, NTF3 only supports axonal extension through NTRK1 but has no effect on neuron survival.
