Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
Human, Mouse (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
Specificity and Use
KMT2A / MLL antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide which maps to a region between residues 3900 and the C-terminus (residue 3969) of human myeloid/lymphoid or mixed-lineage leukemia 1 using the number given in Swiss-Prot entry Q03164 (GeneID 4297). The epitope is found in the C-terminal 180 kD fragment generated by proteolytic cleavage. The epitope is found in isoform 14P-18B of MLL1.
Specific for human MLL-1 protein. Other species not tested. Reactivity with mouse is expected owing to complete identity between this ortholog and human MLL1 at the site to which the epitope maps.
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation.

Histone methyltransferase that plays an essential role in early development and hematopoiesis. Catalytic subunit of the MLL1/MLL complex, a multiprotein complex that mediates both methylation of 'Lys-4' of histone H3 (H3K4me) complex and acetylation of 'Lys-16' of histone H4 (H4K16ac). In the MLL1/MLL complex, it specifically mediates H3K4me, a specific tag for epigenetic transcriptional activation.
