  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

Histone H1 antibody was raised against intact calf histone H1 at 21 kD, 194 amino acids, complexed with RNA. Calf histone H1 has >90% identity to other mammalian histone H1 proteins.
No cross-reactivity with histone core proteins H2A, H2B, H3 or H4.

Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4
Aliquot and store at -20°C or store at 4°C with the addition of 0.1% sodium azide. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

About Histone H1

Histone H1 is one of the five main histone protein families which are components of chromatin in eukaryotic cells. Though highly conserved, it is nevertheless the most variable histone in sequence across species. Metazoan H1 proteins feature a central globular domain and long C- and short N-terminal tails. H1 is involved with the packing of the "beads on a string" sub-structures into a high order structure, whose details have not yet been solved.
