Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

EDNRA / Endothelin A Receptor antibody was raised against c-terminal peptide QEQNHNTERSSHK residues 410 - 422 of rat ET(A) Receptor conjugated to KLH. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Rat (100%); Sheep (92%).
aa410-422
This sheep antibody recognizes epitopes on the cytoplasmic region of the ET(A) Receptor. The binding of this antibody does not interfere with the function of the receptor so that endothelins can interact with the receptor while the antibody is present.

Packaging

Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4
Short term 4°C, long term aliquot and store at -20°C, avoid freeze thaw cycles. Store undiluted.

About EDNRA / Endothelin A Receptor

P25101 NM_001957 NP_001948.1

EDNRA Antibody, Endothelin receptor subtype A Antibody, Et-a-r Antibody, ETRA Antibody, Endothelin A receptor Antibody, Endothelin eta receptor Antibody, Endothelin type a receptor Antibody, Endothelin-1 receptor Antibody, ETAR Antibody, Endothelin receptor type A Antibody, HET-AR Antibody, Et-a receptor Antibody, ETA Antibody, ETA-R Antibody, Endothelin receptor: subtype a Antibody, Endothelin-1-specific receptor Antibody, ET-A Antibody, ET-RA Antibody

The ETA receptor is an Endothelin Receptor that mediates the effects of endothelin-1, a mitogen with potent contractile properties. In the human fetal olfactory epithelium cell line FNC-B4, the ETA receptor increases the secretion of gonadotropin-releasing hormone. Increased ETA concentration may be correlated with smooth muscle hypertrophy observed in patients suffering from bladder-outlet obstruction.
