Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

Collagen V antibody was raised against collagen Type V from human and bovine placenta.
Typically less than 1% cross-reactivity against other types of collagens was detected by ELISA against purified standards. Some class specific anti-collagens may be specific for three-dimensional epitopes which may result in diminished reactivity with denatured collagen or formalin- fixed, paraffin embedded tissues. Recognizes most mammalian Type V collagens and has negligible cross-reactivity with Type I, II, III, IV and VI collagens. Non-specific cross-reaction of anti-collagen antibodies with other human serum proteins or non-collagen extracellular matrix proteins is negligible.
Suitable for use in ELISA. The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.

About Collagen V

Type V collagen is a form of fibrillar collagen associated with classical Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Autoimmunity against type V collagen is associated with lung transplant failure. There are three human genes associated with it: COL5A1, COL5A2, COL5A3.
