  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

CFTR antibody was raised against synthetic peptide: G(103)RIIASYDPDNKEER(117). Immunizing peptide corresponds to Synthetic peptide from residues 103-117 found in the first extracellular loop of human and rabbit CFTR. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Chimpanzee, Gorilla, Orangutan, Gibbon, Baboon, Monkey, Ferret, Guinea pig (100%); Galago, Marmoset, Rat, Sheep, Hamster, Elephant, Panda, Bovine, Cat, Bat, Dog, Rabbit, Pig, Armadillo (93%); Mouse, Horse, Opossum, Chicken, Platypus (86%).
Recognizes human CTFR. Also detects one or more immunologically related proteins in murine cell line Heb7a that does not contain CFTR mRNA. This antibody can also be used to inhibit the epithelial uptake of S. typhi in some mouse cell lines. Species cross-reactivity: Mouse.
Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot. Immunofluorescence: 1:500; Immunofluorescence staining of CFTR in mouse epithelial cells results in cell surface staining, consistent with localization at the plasma membrane. Western Blot: 1:500; Detects a single ~170kD protein representing CFTR in T84 whole cell extract.

0.05% sodium azide
Short term 4°C, long term aliquot and store at -20°C, avoid freeze thaw cycles. Store undiluted.

CFTR (Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Conductance Regulator), sometimes also referred as ABCC7 (ATP-binding cassette, Subfamily C, Member 7), is a member of the ATP binding cassette (ABC) transporter family. CFTR functions as a chloride channel and controls the regulation of other transport pathways.
