Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Applications

  • IHC (2 - 15 µg/ml)
  • Western blot (0.1 - 0.2 µg/ml)
  • Flow Cytometry (50 µg/ml)
  • ELISA (0.5 - 1 µg/ml)

Specificity and Use

CD46 antibody was raised against purified, NS0-derived, recombinant human CD46 isoform L (rhCD46; aa 35 - 328) extracellular domain.
Human CD46 extracellular domain.
Western blot-This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 µg/ml with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human CD46. The detection limit for rhCD46 is approximately 0.5 ng/lane and 2 ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions, respectively. Immunohistochemistry-This antibody will detect CD46 in cells and tissues. The working dilution is 2-15 µg/ml. Flow Cytometry - This antibody has been tested on PBMCs for use in flow cytometry. Dilute this antibody to 50 µg/ml and add 10 ul of the diluted solution to 1-2.5 x 105 cells in a total reaction volume not exceeding 200 ul. The binding of unlabeled antibodies may be visualized by adding 10 ul of a 25 µg/ml stock solution of a secondary developing reagent such as anti-goat IgG conjugated to a fluorochrome. Direct ELISA-This antibody can be used at 0.5-1.0 µg/ml with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human CD46. The detection limit for rhCD46 is approximately 0.1 ng/well.

About CD46

P15529 NM_002389 NP_002380.3

CD46 Antibody, AHUS2 Antibody, CD46 antigen Antibody, MCP Antibody, Measles virus receptor Antibody, TLX Antibody, MIC10 Antibody, TRA2.10 Antibody, Membrane cofactor protein Antibody

Acts as a cofactor for complement factor I, a serine protease which protects autologous cells against complement-mediated injury by cleaving C3b and C4b deposited on host tissue. May be involved in the fusion of the spermatozoa with the oocyte during fertilization. Also acts as a costimulatory factor for T-cells which induces the differentiation of CD4+ into T-regulatory 1 cells.
