  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

CD121b / IL1R2 antibody was raised against recombinant human IL-1 R type II.
Extracellular Domain
the extracellular domain of the human IL-1 R type II, but precipitates the intact receptor expressed on human cells. In general, this antibody also detects primate IL-1 RII. The antibody does not recognize human IL-1, IL-1 R alpha or IL-1 R type I. In ELISA formats and other immunoreactive assays, this antibody will detect the extracellular domain of the IL-1 R type II (also called soluble IL-1 R type II) found in human body fluids, particularly in the circulation, urine and supernatants of cells and synovial fluid
This antiserum against Human IL-1 Receptor Type II (IL-1 RII) has been tested for use in ELISA, radioimmunoassays and immunoprecipitation. Reactivity in other immunoassays is unknown. IL-1 RII has been termed p68 or CD121 in some laboratories. IL-1RII has been shown to bind IL-1, IL-1a and IL-1^.

About CD121b / IL1R2

IL1R2 Antibody, CD121b Antibody, CD121b antigen Antibody, CDw121b Antibody, IL-1RT-2 Antibody, IL1R2c Antibody, Interleukin-1 receptor beta Antibody, Interleukin-1 receptor type II Antibody, IL-1R-beta Antibody, Antigen CDw121b Antibody, IL-1 type II receptor Antibody, IL-1R-2 Antibody, IL-1RT2 Antibody, IL1RB Antibody, Interleukin-1 receptor type 2 Antibody

Non-signaling receptor for IL1A, IL1B and IL1RN. Reduces IL1B activities. Serves as a decoy receptor by competetive binding to IL1B and preventing its binding to IL1R1. Also modulates cellular response through non-signaling association with IL1RAP after binding to IL1B. IL1R2 (membrane and secreted forms) preferentially binds IL1B and poorly IL1A and IL1RN.

Western blot

Western blot
Anti-IL-1RII Antibody - Western Blot. Western blot of anti-IL-1RII antibody. This blot shows detection of an IL-1RII-GST fusion protein (~500 ng, lane 1, green, 800 nm channel). Minimal reactivity is observed against GST (data not shown). Protein was resolved on a 4-20% Tris-Glycine gel by SDS-PAGE and transferred onto nitrocellulose. After blocking, the membrane was probed with the primary antibody diluted to 1:1000. Incubation was for 2 hrs at room temperature followed by washes and reaction with a 1:10000 dilution of IRDye 800 conjugated Gt-a-Rabbit IgG (H&L) MX10 ( for 45 min at room temperature. Molecular weight markers are shown for size comparison (lane M, red, 700 nm channel). IRDye 800 fluorescence image was captured using the Odyssey Infrared Imaging System developed by LI-COR. IRDye is a trademark of LI-COR, Inc. Other detection systems will yield similar results.
