Description

BCL10 (B-cell lymphoma/leukemia 10) is a cellular homolog of the equine herpesvirus-2 E-10 gene that functions to induce apoptosis by activating CASP9. When overexpressed, BCL10 induces JNK, p38, and NF-kB activation. BCL10 plays an important role in both activating and suppressing adaptive and innate immune signaling by connecting to various CARD scaffold proteins. BCL10 exhibits a variety of mutations in MALT lymphomas and in B and T cell lineage lymphomas and participates in the pathogenesis of various malignancies. In immunohistochemistry of normal tissue, BLC10 has cytoplasmic positivity in most tissues throughout the body. References: The UniProt Consortium. Full length recombinant Bcl-10.

Specificity

Recognizes human B-cell lymphoma/leukaemia 10 (Bcl-10), a 31kD CARD (caspase recruitment domain) containing molecule that is involved in the regulation of apoptosis. Bcl-10 was originally identified through its direct involvement in t(1;14)(p22;q32) of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma. The Bcl-10 molecule is predominantly located in the cytoplasm but expression has also been reported in the nucleus of some lymphomas. Recent reports suggest that Bcl-10 is essential for nuclear factor (NF)-kappaB activation after lymphocyte receptor antigen stimulation and for the development of mature B-cells.

Usage

Flow cytometry: Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 1x106 cells in 100ul. Western blotting: LS-B11894 detects bands of approximately 32kDa and 37kDa in cell lysates.
