Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use
APP / Beta Amyloid Precursor antibody was raised against synthetic peptide from C-terminus of APP.
Recognizes an epitope at the C-terminus of human amyloid precursor protein (APP). APP is a 110-130kD transmembrane protein. Processing of APP by Beta-secretase gives rise to amyloidogenic beta-amyloid proteins, deposition of which are characteristic of Alzheimer disease. APP exists in a number of isoforms. APP(695) is predominant in neuronal tissue, whilst APP(751) dominates elsewhere. APP also inhibits Notch signaling through it's interaction with NUMB.
Functions as a cell surface receptor and performs physiological functions on the surface of neurons relevant to neurite growth, neuronal adhesion and axonogenesis. Involved in cell mobility and transcription regulation through protein-protein interactions. Can promote transcription activation through binding to APBB1-KAT5 and inhibits Notch signaling through interaction with Numb. Couples to apoptosis-inducing pathways such as those mediated by G(O) and JIP.
