ADAM17 / TACE antibody was raised against a 17 aa peptide near the C-terminus of rat TACE (1) conjugated to KLH.
The rat peptide sequence is 100% conserved in mouse and 99% in human TACE. No significant sequence homology exists with other proteases. Antibody cross-reactivity in various species is not established.
