Transmembrane 9 superfamily member 1 (TM9SF1) belongs to a family of multi-pass membrane spanning proteins. It has a large N-terminal hydrophilic part and a C-terminal domain with nine putative hydrophobic regions characteristic of integral membrane proteins. It has been identified all human tissues analyzed by Northern analysis.
