PDE6H

phosphodiesterase 6H, cGMP-specific, cone, gamma

PDE6H is the inhibitory (or gamma) subunit of the cone-specific cGMP phosphodiesterase, which is a tetramer composed of two catalytic chains (alpha and beta), and two inhibitory chains (gamma). It is specifically expressed in the retina, and is involved in the transmission and amplification of the visual signal. Mutations in this gene are associated with retinal cone dystrophy type 3A (RCD3A).

Gene Name: phosphodiesterase 6H, cGMP-specific, cone, gamma
Family/Subfamily: Phosphodiesterase , PDE - photoreceptor
Synonyms: PDE6H, ACHM6, GMP-PDE gamma, Phosphodiesterase 6h, RCD3
Target Sequences: NM_006205 NP_006196.1 Q13956

PDE6H Antibody - IHC image of PDE6H Antibody diluted at 1:100 and staining in paraffin-embedded human endometrial cancer performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.
