Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
RBP4 Protein, PRBP Protein, Plasma retinol-binding protein Protein, RBP Protein, Retinol-binding protein 4 Protein
RBP4 belongs to the lipocalin family and is the specific carrier for retinol (vitamin A alcohol) in the blood. It delivers retinol from the liver stores to the peripheral tissues. In plasma, the RBP-retinol complex interacts with transthyretin which prevents its loss by filtration through the kidney glomeruli. A deficiency of vitamin A blocks secretion of the binding protein posttranslationally and results in defective delivery and supply to the epidermal cells.
Glucose tolerance test in mice injected chronically with hRBP4-His. Mice were injected chronically with RBP4 (human) (rec.) (His) (0.3mg per g body weight, intraperitoneally). Control mice were injected with phosphate-buffered saline. Glucose tolerance test (1g per 1kg body weight, i.p.) was performed after 10 days of injection.
