Immunohistochemistry Services

Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

TCR Screening Services

Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specifications

Description
5-HT6 receptor (HTR6) is a Serotonin Receptor that regulates cholinergic neurotransmission in the brain rather than the expected interaction as a modulator of dopaminergic transmission. HTR6 predicts a possible role for 5-HT6 Receptor antagonists in the treatment of learning and memory disorders. The 5-HT6 Receptor is abundant in limbic areas, which participate in the control of mood and emotion. Some antidepressants and antipsychotics are potent 5-HT6 Receptor antagonists, making this gene valuable for the pharmaceutical industry. 5-HT6 may be involved in the pathogenesis of mood disorders, schizophrenia, and Alzheimer's disease. A splice variant that has a 289bp deletion in the transmembrane region IV and the third intracellular loop has been isolated. The UniProt Consortium.
