Detects rhGalectin-14 in direct ELISAs and Western blots. In direct ELISAs, Shows no cross-reactivity with rhGalectin-1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 10, or rmGalectin-9.

Suitable for use in Western blot: 2 ug/ml with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human Galectin-14 in cell or tissue extracts under non-reducing conditions only. Lysates were prepared from primary human eosinophils in non-reducing sample buffer, resolved by SDS-PAGE 10 ug total protein/lane), and transferred to an Blotting Buffer Blocking Solution Antibody Solution 25 mM Tris, pH 7.4 5% nonfat dry milk 5% nonfat dry milk 0.15 M NaCl in Blotting Buffer in Blotting Buffer 0.05% Tween 20. Direct ELISA: 0.5-1 ug/ml with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human Galectin-14. The detection limit for rhGalectin-14 is approximately 3 ng/well.
