  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

Pig IgA antibody was raised against purified porcine IgA.
Recognizes porcine IgA and shows no cross-reactivity with other porcine immunoglobulin classes as assessed by immunoelectrophoresis. May cross-react with IgA from other species. Has been successfully used for the evaluation of porcine IgA levels in body fluids of pigs by both ELISA and Western blotting.
The applications listed have been tested for the base form of this product. Alternate forms, such as conjugated, azide-free, or ready-to-use, have not been tested.

PBS, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide, 0.2% BSA.
Store at +4°C. Do not freeze. Product is photosensitive and should be protected from light. Store undiluted.

About Pig IgA

Immunoglobulin A (IgA, also referred to as sIgA) is an antibody that plays a critical role in mucosal immunity. More IgA is produced in mucosal linings than all other types of antibody combined; between three and five grams are secreted into the intestinal lumen each day. This accumulates up to 15% of the total immunoglobulin produced in the entire body. IgA has two subclasses (IgA1 and IgA2) and can exist in a dimeric form called secretory IgA (sIgA).
