Immunohistochemistry Services

Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

TCR Screening Services

Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Immunogen
Bacterial TrpE-LMP2A fusion protein.
Specificity
Recognizes latent membrane protein 2A (LMP2A) of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). EBV is a human herpesvirus, which is associated with conditions such as Hodgkin's disease and Burkitt's Lymphoma and is the causative agent in mononucleosis in adolescents. EBV latently infects B lymphocytes. Infected B cells express EBV nuclear antigens and latent proteins LMP1, LMP2A and LMP2B. LMP2A forms aggregates in the plasma membranes of B lymphocytes, where it functions as a negative regulator of the Src and Syk protein tyrosine kinases. Studies show that LMP2A blocks B-cell receptor (BCR) signal transduction in EBV immortalized B cells in vitro and may play an important role in maintaining a latent EBV infection within the peripheral blood B cells of infected individuals. Recognizes LMP2A and does not cross react with LMP2B.
Usage
Immunohistology: This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment methods prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH6.0 is recommended for this purpose.
