Specificity
Recognizes Escherichia coli Elongation Factor TU at the very end of the N-terminus of the EF-Tu molecule (SKEKFE). Species cross-reactivity: Bacteroides fragilis, Streptococcus oralis, Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Burkholderia cepacia, Deinococcus sp., and weakly cross-reacts with Mycobacterium tuberculosis.

Usage
Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunofluorescence and Western Blot. Western Blot: 1:50 Bacterial EF-Tu reveals a molecular mass of 43-47kD, whereas archaeal EF-Tu reveals as either 80 or 60kD (ref 1).
