Beta-hCG, conjugated to various carrier proteins. Splenocytes were fused with SP-2/0-Ag14 cells.
Specificity
5H4-E2 is specific for the Beta chain of hCG. Since the Beta chain levels rise faster in urine, the antibody will detect hCG in urine as early as 1-3 days after successful (artificial) conception as opposed to alpha or dimer specific antibodies.
