CD81, CD81 antigen, CD81 molecule, CVID6, S5.7, TAPA1, TAPA-1, Tetraspanin-28, TSPAN28, Tspan-28
(tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
CD81 antibody was raised against a B cell line derived from a Burkitt lymphoma. Splenocytes were fused with mouse myeloma NS1 cells.
Reacts with human CD81 (TAPA-1), a 24 kD member of the TM4 superfamily of proteins with four transmembrane domains. The mAb to CD81 have been shown to have anti-proliferative effects on different lymphoid cell lines, particularly those derived from large cell lymphomas. The mAb was clustered at the VI WLDA.
