  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

VIP antibody was raised against synthetic human VIP (code 7161, Peninsula).
Immunogen: Synthetic human VIP. Tested on human, pig, rat and guinea-pig tissues. Positive control: Stefanini-fixed frozen sections of rat intestine. Absorption with 10 100 ug VIP per ml diluted antiserum abolishes the staining, while PHI does not.

50 µl Distilled water
Prior to reconstitution, +4°C. Following reconstitution store at -20°C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

About VIP

P01282 NM_003381 NP_003372.1

VIP Antibody, PHM27 Antibody, Vasoactive intestinal peptide Antibody, VIP peptides Antibody

VIP belongs to the glucagon family. It stimulates myocardial contractility, causes vasodilation, increases glycogenolysis, lowers arterial blood pressure and relaxes the smooth muscle of trachea, stomach and gall bladder. The protein also acts as an antimicrobial peptide with antibacterial and antifungal activity. Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
