VASP antibody was raised against recombinant human VASP
Recognizes human, mouse and pig VASP. Detects both the 46kD (Ser157 dephospho) and 50kD (Ser157 phospho) forms of VASP.
Immunocytochemistry (formaldehyde fixed cells; 1 ug/ml). Immunoprecipitation (2 ug/ml). Western Blot (0.1 ug/ml). Positive control: Human platelet protein (500ug), supplied at 5 mg/ml in SDS stop solution (100 mM NaCl, 73 mM TRIS/HCl pH 6.7, 10 mM DTT, 8 mM EDTA, 5% [v/v] glycerol, 2% [w/v] SDS, 10 ug/ml Bromophenol Blue sodium salt).
PBS, 1 mg/ml BSA, 0.02% sodium azide.

Ena/VASP proteins are actin-associated proteins involved in a range of processes dependent on cytoskeleton remodeling and cell polarity such as axon guidance, lamellipodial and filopodial dynamics, platelet activation and cell migration. VASP promotes actin filament elongation. It protects the barbed end of growing actin filaments against capping and increases the rate of actin polymerization in the presence of capping protein.
