Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

TIMELESS antibody was raised against tim-2-Ig, consisting of amino acids 1-230 of mouse Tim-2, coupled with the Fc portion of mouse IgG2a.
aa1-230
Clone RMT2-25 specifically recognizes mouse Tim-2 (T-cell immunoglobulin mucin 2), a transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, expressed by activated lymphocytes, developmentally in the 8-cell embryo and blastocyst, and preferentially up-regulated in Th2 cells and down-regulated in Th1 cells. Tim-2 acts as a negative regulator of Th2 cells, and is implicated to play a critical role in the development of atopic disease and other Th2-biased immune responses. Tim-2 also acts as a receptor for Semaphorin 4A, a transmembrane protein expressed on dendritic cells and B cells, which plays a role in the guidance of axonal migration during neuronal development, and has been shown to enhance T cell activation. Studies using clone RMT2-25 in mouse, have shown that signaling by Tim-2 can influence the proliferation and antibody production of B cells, during early phase CIA (collagen-induced arthritis) see for details. Clone RMT2-25 has been shown to significantly enhance the proliferation of stimulated splenic B cells in vitro.
The applications listed have been tested for the unmodified form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.

About TIMELESS

Q9UNS1 NM_003920 NP_003911.2

TIMELESS Antibody, Timeless (Drosophila) homolog Antibody, Timeless circadian clock Antibody, TIMELESS1 Antibody, TIM1 Antibody, Protein timeless homolog Antibody, HTIM Antibody, TIM Antibody, Timeless homolog (Drosophila) Antibody, Tof1 homolog Antibody

Plays an important role in the control of DNA replication, maintenance of replication fork stability, maintenance of genome stability throughout normal DNA replication and in the regulation of the circadian clock. Involved in the determination of period length and in the DNA damage-dependent phase advancing of the circadian clock. Negatively regulates CLOCK|NPAS2-ARTNL/BMAL1|ARTNL2/BMAL2-induced transactivation of PER1 possibly via translocation of PER1 into the nucleus.
