Specificity and Use
TACSTD1 / EPCAM antibody was raised against hT29 carcinoma cell line.
Recognizes a surface glycoprotein of approximately 35kD. The monoclonal antibody reacts with all human epithelial cell types except hepatocytes, gastric parietal cells, superficial layers in squamous stratified epithelia, sebaceous glands, cortical thymic epithelium, ovarian follicular epithelium, ependyma and plexus epithelium. Recognizes all carcinoma types tested so far.
