Specificity and Use
TACSTD1 / EPCAM antibody was raised against hT29 carcinoma cell line.
Recognizes a surface glycoprotein of approximately 35kD. Reacts with all human epithelial cell types except hepatocytes, gastric parietal cells, superficial layers in squamous stratified epithelia, sebaceous glands, cortical thymic epithelium, ovarian follicular epithelium, ependyma and plexus epithelium. Recognizes all carcinoma types tested so far.
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Flow Cytometry. Flow Cytometry: Neat. Use 5 ul to label 1E6 cells or 100 ul cell suspension. Immunohistochemistry: 1:20 (frozen or paraffin). Requires protein digestion pre-treatment of paraffin sections e. g. 0.1% pronase, 10 minutes. Positive control: Human colon & appendix.
