  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

STIM2 antibody was raised against a 17 amino acid peptide located near the centre of human STIM2.
Recognizes an internal region of stromal interaction molecule-2 (STIM2), a ubiquitously expressed type I membrane protein, of which at least three isoforms have been identified. In T-lymphocytes and other hematopoietic cells, the mechanism for increasing intracellular Ca2+, following antigen mediated T-cell activation, is through Ca2+release-activated Ca2+ (CRAC) channels. STIM1 is reported to activate CRAC channels upon Ca2+depletion. Whereas, STIM2 acts to inhibit the STIM1-mediated Ca2+entry, and forms complexes with STIM1, suggesting that these molecules may play a coordinated role in controlling Ca2+entry.

About STIM2

STIM2 Antibody, KIAA1482 Antibody, Stromal interaction molecule 2 Antibody

Plays a role in mediating store-operated Ca2+ entry (SOCE), a Ca2+ influx following depletion of intracellular Ca2+ stores. Functions as a highly sensitive Ca2+ sensor in the endoplasmic reticulum which activates both store-operated and store-independent Ca2+-influx. Regulates basal cytosolic and endoplasmic reticulum Ca2+ concentrations.

Western blot

Western blot
