  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

PUM1 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to an epitope within amino acid residues 225-275 of human PUM1 (NP_055491.1).
Recognizes PUM1 (pumilio-1), an evolutionarily conserved sequence-specific RNA-binding protein and member of the PUF family, which acts as a regulator of specific mRNA translation, through interaction with 3' untranslated regions (UTRs). The original member of the PUF family, pumilio of Drosophila melanogaster (DmPUM), was found to be important in the regulation of germ-line stem cell development and neuronal function, suggesting a similar role for vertebrate PUM proteins.
Western Blot: LS-C56967 detects a band of approximately 142kD in HeLa and 3T3 RIPA extracts.

Tris-citrate/phosphate, 0.09% sodium azide.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: -20°C

PUM1 is a member of the PUF family, evolutionarily conserved RNA-binding proteins related to the Pumilio proteins of Drosophila and the fem-3 mRNA binding factor proteins of C. elegans. The encoded protein contains a sequence-specific RNA binding domain comprised of eight repeats and N- and C-terminal flanking regions, and serves as a translational regulator of specific mRNAs by binding to their 3' untranslated regions.

Western blot

Western blot
Detection of human and mouse PUM1 in RIPA extracts of HeLa and 3T3 cells treated with calf alkaline phosphatase or left untreated by Western blotting with Goat anti- Human PUM1 (LS-C56967).
