  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

Prostaglandin D Synthase antibody was raised against the epitope recognized by this antibody maps to region within residue 120-190 of human PTGDS. [Swiss-Prot# P41222]. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Sheep (85%); Porcine (82%).
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B2173 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B2173 was determined to be 2.5 ug/ml.

PBS plus 30% glycerol, 0.1% sodium azide.
Short term 4°C, long term aliquot and store at -20°C, avoid freeze thaw cycles.

PTGDS Antibody, Beta-trace protein Antibody, LPGDS Antibody, PGD2 Antibody, PGD2 synthase Antibody, PGDS Antibody, Prostaglandin D synthase Antibody, Prostaglandin-D2 synthase Antibody, L-PGDS Antibody, PDS Antibody, Cerebrin-28 Antibody, PGDS2 Antibody, Prostaglandin-H2 D-isomerase Antibody

Catalyzes the conversion of PGH2 to PGD2, a prostaglandin involved in smooth muscle contraction/relaxation and a potent inhibitor of platelet aggregation. Involved in a variety of CNS functions, such as sedation, NREM sleep and PGE2-induced allodynia, and may have an anti-apoptotic role in oligodendrocytes.
